Allow the Aston Solar Jar to charge in direct sunlight for 6–8 hours; after this, it can provide light for up to 8 hours. During the winter months, charging time may be longer due to reduced sunlight. The light turns on automatically when it gets dark and stays on until the battery is fully discharged. Before first use, lift the lid and switch the button to “ON”.

The solar cells can be recharged up to 500 times. The batteries are integrated and cannot be replaced.
The jar must not be exposed to frost.

Important information about the jar

• Wax content and heat:
  The jar contains wax, which may melt at very high temperatures. If this occurs, do not move the lantern. Leave it undisturbed—the wax will solidify again once the temperature drops.

• Water-resistant – not waterproof:
  The lantern is designed to be water-resistant but not completely waterproof. Water may enter during heavy rain. If water collects inside, carefully lift the lid, pour the water out, and gently wipe the interior with a soft cloth.

• Leather handle made from natural material:
  The genuine leather handle may change in color and texture over time. This is a natural characteristic of leather and part of its charm—it will gradually develop a beautiful patina influenced by weather and use.
